Rockets Shopping 3rd Overall Pick With Multiple Teams
According to The Ringers’ Kevin O’Connor, the Houston Rockets want to flip this year’s third overall pick, with them having conversations with multiple teams. Houston has been trying very hard to become a playoff contender, which is how they want to do it.
The Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies are the two teams to have an early interest in Rafael Stone’s valuable pick. However, for Brooklyn they aren’t willing to give up Mikal Bridges. Sean Marks wants to build around Bridges, not flip him for another guy to try to pair with his current roster.
Houston has been trying to get Bridges ever since he left the Phoenix Suns for Brooklyn; Brooklyn turned down multiple players and four first-rounders – a lot of the offers came from Houston.
Memphis needs a long-term center and is eyeing Donovan Clingan; the only problem is that they aren’t picking until the ninth, so they probably can’t select Clingan. This is according to multiple professional draft boards released.
No reports have been given on what Zach Kleiman would and wouldn’t give up, minus the obvious of Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant.
