According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the New Orleans Pelicans have signed Daniel Theis to a one-year deal.
New Orleans had a hole to fill at the center position due to losing Jonas Valanciunas, which was expected to happen. Valanciunas signed a multi-year deal with the Washington Wizards, for those who don’t know.
For Theis, he agreed to a one-year deal worth $3 million. This comes after appearing in 60 games last season, 59 for the Los Angeles Clippers and one for the Indiana Pacers, where the 32-year-old averaged 6.3 points and 4.1 rebounds with the Clippers.
Newly appointed general manager Bryson Graham now has Theis, Yves Missi, and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl under contract for the center position.
