The New York Knicks are interested in Walker Kessler, per SNY’s Ian Begley. Kessler has been on team’s minds since the beginning of this offseason.
With New York losing Isaiah Hartenstein, there has been a feeling that they need to get another center to complement Jericho Sims and Mitchell Robinson.
While the Utah Jazz aren’t in love with Kessler anymore, seeing how he is now on their Summer League team and losing playing time last season, they still have a price tag for him. The price? A first-round pick.
New York does not have first-round picks, as they used them all to get Mikal Bridges, but they do have protected ones that aren’t projected to be as valuable as possible in trades.
Kessler, who is 22 years old, is making $2.9 million this season – a manageable amount to try to trade for a piece like them.
