According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Karl-Anthony Towns to this day is still upset the New York Knicks entertained the idea of trading him away to the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The 30-year-old seeing this unfold “led to hard feelings” and never really getting over it. This comes at a time where Towns has criticized, and openly expressed his frustrations, about his role within head coach Mike Brown’s offense multiple times throughout this season.
It’s unclear if the Knicks are going to make any moves at the deadline, but Towns’ name has been a recurring topic of discussion of being moved from New York. He has two years left on his contract, which sees him making $118 million in total.
This season, he is averaging 20.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.
