While these overalls are subject to change, NBA2K25’s top 25 players have been released. This list has fans in uproar over some players’ overalls, some agree, and then some are in the middle.
The biggest names to be talked about were Jaylen Brown and Joel Embiid, which makes sense given their recent performance and personal preferences. It should also be noted, as of this time, there are no 99 overalls in NBA2K’s newest game.
2K is set to release this game on September 6th of this year.
NBA2K25’s top 25 players:
- Nikola Jokic – 98
- Joel Embiid – 98
- Luka Doncic – 97
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – 97
- Giannis Antetokounmpo – 97
- Kevin Durant – 96
- LeBron James – 96
- Jayson Tatum – 96
- Stephen Curry – 95
- Anthony Edwards – 95
- Anthony Davis – 95
- Devin Booker – 95
- Jalen Brunson – 94
- Kyrie Irving – 94
- Donovan Mitchell – 93
- Jaylen Brown – 93
- Jimmy Butler – 93
- Ja Morant – 93
- Kawhi Leonard – 92
- Tyrese Haliburton – 91
- Pascal Siakam – 90
- Domantas Sabonis – 90
- Victor Wembanyama – 89
- Damian Lillard – 89
- De’Aaron Fox – 89
As seen in the list, only two players are 98 overalls. Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic will lead everyone in the game despite Jayson Tatum being on the cover and winning this year’s championship.
In addition to those players, quite a number of players from this list received a favorable increase in their overall rating. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a 93 overall in NBA2K24 but saw a four overall increase in the upcoming game.
Anthony Edwards jumps seven to a 95 overall after being an 88 overall in 2K24; the same is true for Jalen Brunson. Brunson, who was an 88 overall in NBA2K24, jumps six to secure a 94 overall. It makes sense for both of those players who had respective incredible seasons.
Kyrie Irving had a four overall boost from NBA2K24 to now, and he made an appearance in this year’s championship against the Boston Celtics; he’s getting a shiny 94 overall. Irving was a solid 90 overall last game.
Victor Wembanyama also had a huge increase in overalls; like Irving, he moved up to an 89 after being an 84 in NBA2K24. That’s a five-overall jump.
The last one, and this one is the most devastating, is that Damian Lillard received an update to his NBA2K player, and it was a huge decrease. In NBA2K24, he was 94. Now, he is an 89 overall. This ranks him at number twenty-four, which ties him with De’Aaron Fox (89).
Remember, all these overalls are subject to change. However, this is what fans have to go off of for right now.
