According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Scottie Barnes will miss the next several weeks after suffering a sprained right ankle injury.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during Monday’s game against the New York Knicks in the third quarter.
After colliding with Karl-Anthony Towns, Barnes immediately grabbed his right foot/ankle and said he couldn’t feel his foot. After getting helped to the locker room, the Toronto Raptors ruled Barnes out for the remainder of the game.
This will be his second significant injury of the season; he most recently suffered a fractured orbital bone.
In 14 games this season, Barnes is averaging career-highs in points (20.6), rebounds (8.4), and assists (7.4).
