According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Indiana Pacers rising superstar suffered an ankle injury during Game 2’s defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was seen leaving the limping after the game had concluded.
Despite dealing with this injury, not knowing the severity, Indiana has not put him on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
“What did catch my eye again is him limping right there uh and he said he had a lower body injury,” said Charania on Wednesday’s Pat McAfee Show. “I did some digging on it and I am told it is an ankle issue [and] some soreness that he’s dealing with.”
Even with the latest injury, Haliburton will not miss Game 3 and, right now, does not have a minutes restriction. It appears this will run as normal.
Throughout the series, Alex Caruso and this incredible OKC team have been able to limit the offensive production of Haliburton. They’ve limited him to only thirteen shot attempts per game and forcing him to commit four turnovers per game.
The Finals is tied 1-1.
