According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Houston Rockets have re-signed veteran center Steven Adams to a three-year, $39 million extension.
During Ime Udoka’a double-big lineup, Adams played a critical role alongside Alperen Sengun. Many attribute his contributions to why Houston was so successful during their 52-win season.
The Rockets traded for Adams from the Memphis Grizzles during the 2023-24 season; this was during the time of him rehabbing from season-ending knee surgery.
Before re-signing with Houston, the 31-year-old was set to become a free agent this offseason, as he was in the final year of his two-year, $25.2 million contract.
