According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, the Golden State Warriors will continue their caution surrounding superstar Stephen Curry. This comes after his MRI returned clean, but is still dealing with pain and swelling.
Golden State will re-evaluate Curry in ten days to see if the “runner’s knee” begins to go away. Fans will see the 37-year-old miss at least five games.
Before the All-Star break, Curry was dealing with this injury and missed the final five games before the break. The injury first popped up during an individual workout on January 24th in Minneapolis.
“You have to try to get rid of all the inflammation and pain,” Curry said. “It’s something we still have to monitor and injury-manage, but it’s something where, if I come back too early, it could flare up.”
