Clippers Won’t Increase James Harden Offer
Clippers Won’t Increase James Harden Offer
I have good news and bad news for Clipper fans, I’ll start with the positives. The good news is that Los Angeles is still interested in James Harden, however, and there comes the bad news, they won’t increase their offer a bit to secure him.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the deal is still on the table, and the Clippers would like to get the deal done very soon. It appears general manager Michael Winger and the team want to stop pushing this deal off and find common ground.
With less than three weeks until the regular season tips off, the Clippers and James Harden both have an interest in this ending very soon and without more complications.
Despite all of what was said, since Los Angeles believes they are the only team bidding for the veteran guard, they don’t feel the need to increase their offer in the slightest.
There are still many moving pieces to this situation as the scenario of three-team deals has been pushed across both sides desks and Philly continues to hope Harden will return to play for them.
This should go without saying, but both teams remain optimistic they can compete for a deep playoff run or a potential run for the championship.
No matter how this ends, this will be known as another ugly divorce in the National Basketball Association.
