According to the team, highlighted by ESPN’s Shams Charania, Paul George has suffered a bone bruise in his left knee and will be re-evaluated in one week.

The diagnosis confirmed to Philadelphia that George did not suffer any structural damage, which is amazing given the regular season is a week away.

George suffered a hyperextension in his knee during the second quarter of Monday’s preseason win over the Atlanta Hawks.

In his second preseason game with the Philadelphia 76ers, Paul George suffered a hyperextension to his left knee. This injury occurred during Monday’s game, in the second quarter, against the Atlanta Hawks.

Head coach Nick Nurse said, “Everything checks out okay,” which is excellent news, as the season begins October 23rd.

After the game, George said he was “not too concerned” about the injury. However, according to the team, he will get further testing to determine the severity of this injury.

Also, no shocker here, but the 34-year-old will be out for Wednesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

According to the team, the Philadelphia 76ers have ruled Joel Embiid out for the remainder of the preseason to continue to follow his left knee management process.

Embiid is “progressing well and will continue to take part in an individual treatment plan designed to best support his health and wellness for the 2024-25 season.”

This is the official statement released by the organization, as they have three more games to play until the regular season. From now until October 18th, that’ll be their preseason. Then Philly will have a five-day rest before their season opener.

The Milwaukee Bucks travel to the Wells Fargo Center to take on Embiid’s team on October 23rd.
