Shaq On What He Would Do If A Teammate Were Like Jontay Porter
Jontay Porter’s time in the NBA is most likely done, as Commissioner Adam Silver publicly advocates for him to be banned from the league forever.
Porter has been accused of and looked into, placing prop bets on himself that have cashed out big. He did this once against the Kings and once against the Clippers, which allowed him to win big on DraftKings.
Many within the NBA community have expressed negative thoughts about Porter and his actions, but Shaq’s response has exploded the NBA World.
The Lakers legend said on his podcast that he would “punch him in his face” if he were Shaq’s teammate. He doesn’t like the fact that he messed up not only his money but also his family’s money.
“Oh yeah, there ain’t gon’ be no conversation,” O’Neal said. “One, why? You just messed up your money. You messed up your family’s money. And now you got them people looking at us.”
O’neal’s concern also grew into one that would affect the entire team, with some potentially raising questions on whether other members of the Raptors were involved.
If Porter was to be found guilty, a “cardinal sin” in the eyes of Silver, then life banishment from the league could be the only option for Porter.
