According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Washington Wizards have waived Alex Len, with Len’s intention to sign with the Indiana Pacers.
The 31-year-old is signing a remainder-of-the-season type contract, which will see him appear in the remaining 32 games.
Indiana cleared a roster spot by trading James Wiseman (who tore his Achilles) to the Raptors. That move cleared the luxury tax for Indiana to fit in a veteran minimum signing.
Len will now be backing up Myles Turner and Thomas Bryant at center.
In 36 games this season with the Sacramento King, Lens averaged 1.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.2 minutes.
