Pistons Unlikely To Trade Bojan Bogdanovic
Unless a team is ready to cough up their fortunes to secure the veteran forward, don’t expect the Detroit Pistons to move off of Bojan Bogdanovic.
According to James L. Edwards III, Detroit wants to keep their good players and has no plans of getting rid of good players because of the current situation they are in.
“Everything I’ve heard and continue to hear is that there are no plans to trade Bogdanovic unless Detroit gets an offer it can’t refuse,” wrote James L. Edwards III at The Athletic. “The Pistons want to be good and don’t want to trade good players, even if Bogdanovic’s role is reduced to a bench scorer next season.”
These reports have been consistent regarding Bogdanovic; Detroit will only move him if it means getting a massive payout from it. However, teams are not willing to give up significant assets to acquire him.
Reports came out that the Pistons wanted two first-rounders for Bogdanovic. While nothing has been confirmed, it appears Troy Weaver is keeping him beyond the deadline.
After trading for him before the 2022-23 season, they quickly locked him up to a two-year deal worth $39.1 million. The 34-year-old is not a free agent until 2025.
He is currently averaging 19.7 points (45.6 FG%), 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 34.0 minutes per game.
