A couple hours ago, ESPN’s Shams Charania said Aaron Gordon would miss Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, 30 minutes before the game, the Denver Nuggets made Gordon “available” to play.

Now, according to Charania, not only will he play, but Gordon will start for Denver.

Gordon tested his hamstring during warmups and looked good enough to play in their elimination game.

Head coach David Adelman said an hour ago that Gordon would do warmup and try to give it a go. The veteran forward has been a critical piece to the success of the Nuggets.

Reminder: the 29-year-old suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain, which requires a couple of weeks to heal and rehab from. He’s only had two days of rest.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Aaron Gordon is out for Sunday’s Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is after the Denver Nuggets discovered he had suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

Despite Gordon searching for any possible ways of being able to play, this injury typically takes a couple weeks to recover from. Stephen Curry suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain and was out for the entire series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

While he is in “doubt” to play in the elimination game, Denver officially lists him as “questionable” with a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old suffered the injury in the final minutes of their Game 6 victory. Throughout the season, Gordon has dealt with various injuries concerning his leg and calf.

This postseason run has been an incredible run for Gordon impacting his Nuggets, as he averaged 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Plus, Gordon had two game-winners in this run.

Whoever wins Game 7 will punch in their ticket to the Western Conference Finals, where they will face off against Anthony Edwards’ Timberwolves.

After winning Game 6 and forcing a win-or-go-home Game 7, the Denver Nuggets could be without Aaron Gordon; an important piece throughout their entire postseason run.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Gordon suffered a left hamstring strain during the final minutes of Game 6. His status for Sunday’s game is officially in “doubt.”

Good news for both the Nuggets and Gordon, the schedule allows them to have an extra day off in-between Game 6 and Game 7. This gives the 29-year-old more opportunities to make the pain less and his hamstring manageable to play minutes.

It should be noted that Gordon has dealt with leg and calf injuries at different parts of the regular season. Unfortunately, his hamstring is now the latest victim of the injury bug.

With Gordon hitting multiple game-winners, averaging 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds, his contributions and overall minutes will be sorely missed if he is unable to play.
