Bulls Might Have To Add Asset To Trade Zach LaVine
According to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, not only is Zach LaVine’s trade value down, but now Chicago may have to attach an asset of any kind to entice teams to trade for the veteran guard.
Johnson says the Detroit Pistons are still undecided about whether to trade for him, and many teams aren’t interested in LaVine. Past reports have revealed to fans that teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, who were once interested, don’t love his contract and don’t view him as a number one player.
The Bulls have no interest in expiring contracts, as they feel they will lose this trade financially and asset-wise. They’ve also been hesitant to add another asset to move LaVine.
Both sides continue to want to part ways; however, if the Bulls feel they are going to lose this deal and hurt themselves even more, they’ll stay put and force LaVine to stay.
The NBA’s trade deadline is February 8th, 2024.
