Celtics Looking For Affordable Players

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Boston Celtics are looking for more affordable players to give them depth support. This decision is largely because important key rotations have higher salaries.

Otto Porter Jr. (Toronto Raptors) and Lonnie Walker IV (Brooklyn Nets) have drawn interest from Brad Stevens as two potential targets before Thursday’s deadline.

If they get Porter, they get forward depth. If they get Walker, they get guard depth. Boston lacks depth, and they are preparing their roster for the postseason.

Porter helped the Golden State Warriors during their 2022 run to get the championship, so his veteran IQ and experience will be very valuable to the team he beat in 2022. Also, Walker had moments of life as a backup guard during his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers – and his current one with Brooklyn.
