According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks have signed Cam Thomas to a contract for the remainder of the season. The Brooklyn Nets waived the young guard shortly after the trade deadline.
Originally, Milwaukee tried trading for Thomas before Thursday’s deadline, but neither them or the Nets could agree to terms. However, didn’t really matter when knowing both sides had interest in each other and Thomas was soon waived to sign with any team who wants him.
“I picked Milwaukee because they wanted me and they told me they’ve been interested for years now. So, it’s good to have this opportunity come to fruition. And I’m just hoping to meet everybody, get to know everybody and contribute as soon as possible,” Thomas told Andscape.
In 24 games this season with Brooklyn, the 24-year-old averaged 15.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
