Darius Garland And Others Expected To Play In Game 3

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to get back Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter for their critical Game 3 matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

Garland has been dealing with a severe toe injury, Mobley has been dealing with a sprained ankle, and Hunter has been dealing with a sprained wrist. All three players will tough it out to try to fight back against the Pacers.

“I’m expecting Darius Garland to definitely be in tonight,” said Shams Charania on The Pat McAfee Show. “He wants to play. He wants to give it a go.”

“All three, to my knowledge, are aiming to go into tonight’s game with the intent to warm up and play in this pivital Game 3,” added Charania.

Right now, Indiana is beating Cleveland 2-0. If the Cavaliers fail to win Friday night, then their season may be looking over.

Isaac Okoro (Shoulder) Out At Least Two Weeks

According to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Isaac Okoro is set to miss at least the next two weeks due to an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury on December 16th against the Brooklyn Nets; fans saw him play 20 minutes before injuring himself.

In 23 games this season, Okoro averages 6.6 points off 49.5% from the field, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 21.0 minutes.

Okoro is in the first year of his three-year, $33 million deal.

According to the Cleveland Cavaliers, confirmed by multiple reports, Max Strus has suffered a right ankle sprain and will be out for the next six weeks.

The injury occurred during an individual workout this past Thursday.

While it is devastating that Strus is out, a door may open for rookie Jaylon Tyson, who has been impressive since the Summer League, to get some playing time.

Isaac Okoro and Caris LeVert will definitely see an increase in minutes due to this injury.

In his first season with Cleveland, Strus played in 70 games, averaging 12.2 points (career-high), 4.8 rebounds (career-high), 4.0 assists (career-high), and 0.9 steals (career-high).

The talented wing is 28 years of age.

Multiple Teams Interested In Trading For Isaac Okoro

According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Charlotte Hornets and Brooklyn Nets are interested in trading for Isaac Okoro.

Okoro signed a three-year, $38 million extension with Cleveland on September 14th for those who don’t remember. That’s important to note because Charlotte and Brooklyn were both interested in him before the deal was even signed.

Now that it is signed, it can be an official sign-and-trade for the 23-year-old wing.

Both teams need an energetic, athletic wing player to complement their roster. Last season, Okoro averaged 9.4 points off 49.0% from the field and 39.1% from deep.
