JJ Redick DONE for this season and potentially going forward into the playoffs! The Mavs need everyone on deck as they are having injured players, which they can not afford. Their best player, Luka, is really the only one healthy as the only other one with potential is Porzingis. Granted he is still injured and never been the same since his knee injuries in New York. However, they still have him. Besides Luka, they don’t have another superstar. Besides Porzingis they don’t have another great player. They have good players but not the types to carry a team to the NBA Finals… or at least out of the first round.
So, what does this have to do with JJ Redick and should we be concerned? Yes, if you are a Mavs fan. Why? Because they need that veteran leadership, that solid three-point shooter, and good offensive basketball player. Also, he’s good on defense too. However, I would categorize him more a playmaker and three-point shooter. Just my take.
So, with that being said, he will be out for some time. Legit, Redick is done for the remainder of the season and hopes to play in their playoff season bout. Whoever that may be. For much of the season, as he has been dealing with this nagging injury known as right heel soreness.
Like we said, and other credible sources have said, that his playoff eligibility is in jeopardy. With that being said the Mavs could really use him especially with all the injuries happening; but whatever happens, happens. Sadly as the Mavs may or may not be playing with Redick. The 36-year-old is questionable and may remain that way for some time.
