Joel Embiid Did Tweak His Injured Knee; Evaluation Pending
According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, Joel Embiid will be reevaluated for his recurring left knee injury after tweaking it again Friday night against the Orlando Magic.
The 30-year-old landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his left knee, which saw him enter the locker room to get checked out. However, according to Nurse, the team’s medical staff cleared him to return for the second half.
He’ll be assessed on Saturday to determine his availability for Sunday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. Tomorrow’s game, among other factors, can force Philly into the playoffs or the Play-In Tournament.
Remember, the Sixers’ landing the fifth or sixth spot keeps them in the playoffs, but landing the seventh or eighth spot will put them into the tournament.
