Joel Embiid (Knee) Returning This Week
The Philadelphia 76ers are getting great news, as, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Joel Embiid is coming back before the postseason.
Embiid has been out for eight weeks due to a torn meniscus recovery, but fans were concerned that it would last longer. However, he’s expected to return as soon as Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In the 29 games Embiid has missed, Philly is 11-18. They’ve struggled massively without their reigning MVP, even with Tyrese Maxey.
Daryl Morey’s team is currently eighth, a team in the Play-In Tournament, and only two games out of sixth. They want to be in the postseason, not the tournament, but they will have to compete with the Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat.
