Joel Embiid Suffers Scary Knee Injury
Stephen Curry put on an outstanding performance against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the talk isn’t about him after Joel Embiid suffered a very serious knee injury.
The franchise player left the game twice, but he immediately left the game late in the fourth quarter after Jonathan Kuminga accidentally crashed into his leg during a loose ball battle.
Embiid looked to be in a tremendous amount of pain when heading back to the locker room. The first incident with Draymond Green didn’t help in the second quarter, they were battling for the ball.
When Kuminga landed on Embiid, he was seen limping and struggling to get back to the locker room. An MRI will be performed to determine the severity of this new injury.
Nick Nurse says Embiid’s injury is entirely separate and does not add to his previous issues. His knees have been taking a beating this season, and it appears to be getting worse.
