Jrue Holiday Traded To The Celtics

The Portland Trail Blazers have traded Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics for a solid package in return. This was expected when considering who Holiday is and what he offers a team as an experienced guard.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Portland is expected to be keeping Robert Williams – most likely pairing him with Deandre Ayton (Damian Lillard trade) – but trading away Malcolm Brogdon.

The main reason behind that decision is due to their commitment to their younger, already existing core of guards.

For those that don’t know, the full trade details are this:

Blazers: Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, 2024 first-rounder, 2029 first-rounder
Celtics: Jrue Holiday

Boston’s potentially new starting lineup will be Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Kristaps Porzingis.

According to multiple reports, led by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics are adding Lonnie Walker IV to their team.

The 25-year-old is signing a one-year deal as a prove-it deal to the league that he can ball and be a useful piece to a championship/playoff contending team.

In 58 games for the Brooklyn Nets, Walker averaged 9.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. His shooting splits were 42.3% from the field and 38.4% from behind the arc.

Jaylen Brown Done Celebrating: 'It's Back To Work'

After months of recharging the batteries and celebrating winning the 2024 NBA Championship, Jaylen Brown is ready to get back to work.

While some would want to savor the moment until forced to defend it, Brown wholeheartedly embraces it.
