Knicks Monitoring The Karl-Anthony Towns Situation

This upcoming season is most probably the biggest season involving Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Many questions will circulating on if Rudy Gobert and Towns can play together, how the two big-men can play with their other key players – like Anthony Edwards – and many other questions like those.

Reason why this season is a big one is because Towns could be on his way out of Minnesota, as it is now or never with this Minnesota franchise.

According to Kurt Helin of NBC Sports, the league is expecting Minnesota to make some changes to their roster in the next 18 months or earlier. The biggest change could involve Karl-Anthony Towns, a player who has played 8 seasons with the Timberwolves.

The Knicks are not shy when it comes to spending money on star-level talent, their most recent example being Jalen Brunson (former Dallas Mavericks’ player).

Also, in terms of any issues still existing between head coach Tom Thibodeau and Towns, there are none. Per Bondy, both have spoken highly of each other and the “beef” they’ve had in the past has been squashed.

Like I mentioned earlier in this article, this will be an extremely important season for both sides before any final conclusions on drawn on their relationship.
