Shams reported two weeks, Woj reported two-three weeks, but the Suns publicly confirmed that Durant will be out for the next three weeks.

At the end of the third week, Phoenix will reevaluate him to determine if he is fit to return to the starting lineup. An MRI has confirmed the organization’s fears by diagnosing him with a left ankle sprain.

The injury occurred during warmups before the Suns-Thunder game on Wednesday. Durant left the Footprint Center in a walking boot.

Kevin Durant Set To Return Wednesday

It has been reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic that Kevin Durant, barring any setbacks, will be suiting up for the Suns in their game against the Timberwolves.

Reports announced Durant to be coming back to Phoenix for his home debut a couple of days ago, and now fans get a confirmation from Shams.

Kevin Durant has missed 10 games due to this ankle sprain and looks to be making his home debut against the Timberwolves; a very important matchup not only for the Suns, but for Minnesota.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ team is looking to get their third win in a row with Big KAT returning from his previous injury; same goes for Phoenix as they are looking to be 4-0 with Kevin Durant.

The Suns are 40-35 and the Timberwolves are 39-37 as the game begins Wednesday night at 10:00 PM EST.

After missing six games, it is being reported by The Athletic that Durant will be looking to make his return this Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. That game will be in Phoenix, which will mark his first home game as a member of the Phoenix Suns.

His potential return Wednesday marks exactly three weeks since he suffered the ankle sprain. Durant hasn’t played since March 8th.

If Kevin Durant does return Wednesday, then the Suns will have to play three more games – Kings, 76ers, Jazz – without him. The better news being Phoenix has seven games remaining once Durant returns.

The Suns are 3-0 with Kevin Durant on their roster.
