Knicks Believe They Could Land Another “Significant Player”
According to Ian Begley of SNY, the New York Knicks believe they have the opportunity to land another “significant player.” New York believes the assets are there to land someone like Karl-Anthony Towns.
Believe it or not, they do have the assets. Currently lined up are eight tradeable first-rounders, four of which they own. Plus, they have Evan Fournier’s $18 million expiring contract they can dispose of.
While it’s “unlikely” the Minnesota Timberwolves will move off of Towns due to their team’s success, New York will never stop being tied to trading for him.
Some in the NBA world thought the Knicks were done; however, it’s believed they’ll make another move if it means not gutting their team. New York and the Toronto Raptors started trade season with the OG Anunoby and RJ Barrett trade.
