LeBron James Remains Undecided On Player Option
While Rich Paul, LeBron James’s agent, said his client wouldn’t be traded before the deadline and wasn’t looking to leave, he never said if LeBron would stay in Los Angeles.
When asked if he knew what he would do with his player option, James said, “No.” The option is worth $51.4 million, but the Lakers have been undecided on if they would take Bronny James. That will be the most significant factor in LeBron’s decision.
After asking about his option, LeBron began to talk about playing for the New York Knicks. He admitted he always thought about what playing in New York would be like.
“During my free agency period in 2010, it was one of the teams that I looked at. So I’ve had that thought in my career,” said James.
No matter what happens, the future of LeBron in L.A. is very much up for grabs. Some have speculated his time is over, and some say his time is still going for his partnership with the Lakers.
