According to multiple reports, the Chicago Bulls, despite teams submitting offers, have extended Lonzo Ball to a new contract. This contract will take him through the 2026-27 season.
Chicago signed the 27-year-old to a two-year, $20 million deal. The second year is a team option. Heading into this season, Ball opted into his $21 million player option and was set to become a free agent. Obviously, that is no longer the case.
After missing the entire 2022-23 and 23-24 season, Ball has returned stronger and healthier than before. He averages 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 30 games.
