Luka Doncic Will Play For Slovenia No Matter What

Slovenia got off to a 1-0 start at the 2023 FIBA World Cup as Luka Doncic bulldozed over Venezuela for a 100-85 victory in their Group F opener.

Following the contest, Doncic has made it clear he will be representing and playing for his country whenever he can. He also commented that missing the NBA Playoffs did not influence his decision to play in the World Cup.

“Every time I can play for the national team, I will play,” Doncic said. “Representing your country, you are always motivated, no matter what happens in the season. Obviously, it was disappointing that we could not make the Playoffs, but playing for your country is special. It is from the heart. And representing your country, it is amazing.”

Slovenia’s next game is against Georgia on August 28th, 4:30 AM.

According to the Dallas Mavericks, superstar player Luka Doncic has suffered a right wrist sprain and will be out for at least a week.

An MRI has confirmed this diagnosis and will be reevaluated in one week. The injury occurred during Tuesday’s game against the New Orlean Pelicans.

Luka Doncic’s contusion in the left calf will be reevaluated in at least one week. Head coach Jason Kidd says Dallas is not worried about this injury. They believe he will be ready by the start of the regular season.
