Mavericks To Waive-And-Stretch JaVale McGee

A failed signing by the Dallas Mavericks as they’ll be waiving JaVale McGee, a season after signing him to a three-year deal.

The deadline to make this transaction official is August 31st, but they won’t be making this move official to make sure no trade can emerge and be agreed upon.

McGee agreed to a three-year, $20.1 million deal during the 2022 offseason. According to Keith Smith of Spotrac, the 35-year-old will be owed $11.7 million.
