According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Memphis Grizzlies have traded Santi Aldama and the draft rights to Tarik Biberovic to the Dallas Mavericks for AJ Johnson, a protected 2030 first round pick (via the Golden State Warriors), and two future second round picks. The two second-rounders are not known as to what year they are in at this time.

In 43 games last season, Aldama, who is 25-years-old, averaged 14.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

Last offseason, Aldama signed a three-year, $52.5 million deal with Memphis.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, confirmed by both organizations, the era of Ja Morant in Memphis is officially over after seven years. The Portland Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies have come to an agreement Monday afternoon that features an all-player trade.

To complete their rebuild, the Grizzlies have shipped out Morant. This follows suit after moving off Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane, plus Dillon Brooks no longer being with the organization.

Monday’s trade sees Morant going to Portland and Jerami Grant and Kris Murray going to Memphis. No draft picks were exchanged in this transaction.

This was reportedly Portland’s biggest move this offseason and will no longer be pursuing Jaylen Brown. Brown remains a large trade candidate for teams to make offers on.

Morant is signed for the 2026-27 season for $42.2 million and for 2027-29 at $44.9 million. Grant is signed at $34.2 million for the 2026-27 and he has a player option for the 2027-28 season at $37.2 million.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade Isaiah Stewart to the Memphis Grizzlies for three second-round picks. This happened during the second round of Wednesday’s night NBA draft.

This deal was done so that Detroit could salary cap space so that they can pursue an upgrade for shot creation and perimeter shooting to help Cade Cunningham and not leave him on an island all by himself. The 24-year-old has been on the trade block throughout the month of June.

Coby White, Tyler Herro, and Norman Powell have been linked to the Pistons. Clearing salary space will allow them to pursue their top needs this offseason.

Stewart has $30 million over two seasons remaining on his contract. Plus, has a team option for the 2027-28 season.
