According to multiple reports, Marcus Morris has finalized his selection to either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Philadelphia 76ers. Both teams had him on their roster last season.

As Morris heads into his 14th season, the 34-year-old can either re-sign with Cleveland or return to Philly. Either way, he wants a contract that isn’t centered around money but on a meaningful role.

In 37 games with Philly, Morris averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds. In 12 games with Cleveland, Morris averaged 5.8 points and 2.1 rebounds.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jarrett Allen joins Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley as players to receive extensions from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

While his previous contract wasn’t set to expire until 2026, Cleveland has decided to lock him into their future permanently.

Allen has agreed to a three-year, $91 million contract extension, which will now guarantee him $131 million over the next five years. When his contract ends, he will be 31 years old.

It should also be noted that the center will be an unrestricted free agent in 2029-30.

Last season, Allen averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in 77 games.

According to the man himself, Darius Garland isn’t going anywhere, Cleveland. The Cavaliers will continue to have the duo of Donovan Mitchell and Garland.

Despite reports and rumors about how dysfunctional the locker room was and management having to pick between Mitchell and Garland, the reality is the complete opposite. In fact, Garland has publicly said he doesn’t want a trade.

“I don’t want to be traded,” Garland said. “Those are just rumors.” This is a positive day for the state of Ohio, as he’s met with General Manager Koby Altman, and a topic about trade requests never came up.

According to multiple reports, Garland is happy about Cleveland’s hiring of new head coach, Kenny Atkinson. That is a huge plus, as well.
