Pelicans Fearful Zion Williamson (Hamstring) Will Miss More Time

According to the team, the New Orlean Pelicans are bracing for the reality of Zion Williamson being out for more than his scheduled timeline.

Originally, the 24-year-old was set to return in four to six weeks, however, multiple treatments have not allowed him to properly recover. This has caused him to be no where near playing shape.

Williamson has been out since November 6th, which has caused him to play in only six of the seventeen available games.

Zion appeared in a career-high 70 games last season. He’s only played in 190 career games since entering the league in 2019.

Jevon Carter Signing With Magic For Rest Of Season

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Orlando Magic are signing former Chicago Bulls guard Jevon Carter for the remainder of the season.

This signing came after Orlando traded away Tyus Jones for luxury tax purposes. Their point guard room needed another player.

Before getting waived by Chicago, in 23 games this season, the 30-year-old averaged 5.4 points and 1.1 rebounds. This will be his sixth team in his NBA career.

Mike Conley Jr. To Re-Sign With Timberwolves

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, after getting traded from Minnesota to the Chicago Bulls to the Charlotte Hornets and then getting waived by Charlotte, it’s expected that Mike Conley Jr. will re-join the Timberwolves in the coming days.

Originally, the 38-year-old was traded for luxury tax reasons, as the plan the whole time was for him to re-sign with them once they took care of things financially.

Due to him being traded twice, it allows him to re-sign with the Timberwolves and not have that restriction of being traded once, released, and then being forced not to re-sign with the original team that traded him.

In 44 games this season, Conley is averaging 4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
