Pelicans Waive Matt Ryan

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the New Orleans Pelicans have decided to waive undrafted Matt Ryan. He’s spent time with New Orleans, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves since 2022.

The Pelicans waiving the 27-year-old will free up their 15th roster spot. They originally had him under contract through 2025-26 with a team option.

New Orleans recently signed Javonte Green. Green is a wing, just like Ryan.
