Thursday night’s Game 6 saw the Oklahoma City Thunder lose 108-91 to the Indiana Pacers, as it was one of the most one-sided blowouts seen in this series to date. At one point, OKC was losing by 31 points.

Gilgeous-Alexander said they need to “learn the lessons” from Game 6 after seeing the team commit 21 turnovers and 38% from the field during the first three quarters of the game. OKC sat their starters for the entire fourth quarter.

“We need to learn the lessons, and we have one game for everything we worked for, and so do they,” said Shai Gilgeous-Alexander about the upcoming Game 7. “The better team Sunday will win.”

Shai had eight of the 21 turnovers, the worst in a single game in at least 40 years. Fans saw him only complete two assists.

“Some of them I just think was carelessness and not being focused and not being engaged,” Gilgeous-Alexander said when asked about the turnovers.

The 26-year-old said the team got distracted possibility of winning a title in Game 6:

“That’s why the night went the way that it did. We got exactly what we deserved, what we earned. We have to own that.”

Game 7 is on Sunday.

According to Damichael Cole, the Memphis Grizzlies have no interest in making a trade for Phoenix Suns’ superstar Kevin Durant. Memphis did kick around the idea, however, they ultimately decided it wasn’t for them.

This comes heavily after the Desmond Bane trade where they secured a first-round pick swap and four first-round picks; many people believed Zach Kleiman could have flipped some of those picks and promising players to Phoenix for a “win-now” situation for Durant and Ja Morant.

In the end, they rather extend Jaren Jackson Jr. and remodel the team based on the abilities of Jackson and Morant. There isn’t even a realm of where they would be a “darkhorse.”

The 36-year-old continues to have his list as the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Miami Heat. The New York Knicks have no interest in him, and Durant has no interest in playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Phoenix is still trying to get a deal done before, or right at, Draft Night. However, they reportedly may extend the deadline past the NBA draft.

According to both Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, the Phoenix Suns have stepped back into reality surrounding the current market of future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant.

The sweepstake talks have not progressed as fast as Phoenix hoped it was going to, as teams aren’t rushing into a deal without thinking it 100% over.

Teams like the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs don’t feel the need to throw in several solid assets for the 36-year-old due to having a young and stable core.

As mentioned in the previous weeks, Durant only wants to go to three teams: the Miami Heat, Spurs, and Rockets. He did have interest in joining the New York Knicks, however, they had no interest in breaking up their roster for a player trending towards the end of his career.

Minnesota was another team to keep an eye on, but the Timberwolves was an organization that Durant had no interest in joining. Plus, per multiple reports, Anthony Edwards has not tried recruiting Durant in the slightest.

Phoenix’s original idea was trading Durant before, or right at, the NBA draft; however, they could extend the deadline past the draft to buy them more time of moving off him.
