According to multiple reports, spearheaded by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the New York Knicks have offered Mike Brown their head coaching position and he will be their new head coach.

As apart of the final process to securing the job, Brown met with James Dolan on Tuesday. Brown will be replacing Tom Thibodeau, as New York is hopeful this will allow themselves to be pushed into the NBA Finals.

Brown has an impressive coaching resume, as he is a two-time NBA Coach of the Year winner. Plus, he won four championships with the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors as their assistant coach.

Taylor Jenkins and Micah Nori were interviewed for this job, however, they didn’t get as far as Mike Brown did. Originally, Jason Kidd was New York’s top choice, but the Dallas Mavericks had no interest in getting rid of their coach. Same with Ime Udoka and the Houston Rockets.

In a complete turn of events involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Damian Lillard, and Lillard no longer being with the team, there are no hard feelings mutually. In fact, the veteran guard is happy he was stretched and waived by the organization.

Milwaukee will owe Lillard $22 million per season for the next five years, as the money they were able to save by doing that allowed them to sign former Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner. Turner signed with Milwaukee after Indiana did not want to go into the luxury tax for him.

According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, the 34-year-old is “elated” by the fact Milwaukee wanted him gone. Back in 2023, Lillard wanted to go to Miami instead of Milwaukee, but the Portland Trail Blazers did not want to accommodate his request to the Heat.

For the first time in his career, Lillard will have the chance to pick any team that he wants to join. Multiple reports are saying he’ll take a minimum contract so that he can have tons of options.

Per Chris Haynes, a team to keep an eye on are the Heat. Both sides have mutual interest and could see a deal get done, despite the veteran’s age and recent Achilles tear injury.

Even if Lillard did not suffer that devastating injury, the Bucks would have still discussed a potential exit for Lillard. Between the on-court fit issues and him missing his children, Milwaukee was no longer a place that made sense for either side.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Dennis Schroder is signing a three-year, $45 million contract with the Sacramento Kings. This offer came to reality after the 31-year-old was able to repair his value through solid play through the end of the season and in the postseason.

The official details of this deal is that the first two years are guaranteed financially, but that third year will only be partially guaranteed.

By signing Schroder, Sacramento adds more security protection to their point guard position. This was something they needed to get done since trading De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs.

For the veteran point guard, the Kings will be his tenth team he’s played on for his career.
