According to multiple reports, spearheaded by ESPN, Brook Lopez did have his sights set on signing with the Los Angeles Lakers but pivoted due to the uncertainty of LeBron James’ future with the Lakers.

The Los Angeles Clippers swooped in and secured him for their center room. With him not wanting to be apart of the current LeBron drama in L.A., Lopez passed up being a starter to now being the backup to Ivica Zubac.

This offseason saw Deandre Ayton be bought out by the Portland Trail Blazers and signed by the Lakers, which came days after the Lopez news.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Indiana Pacers and Isaiah Jackson have come to an agreement on a contract that will prioritize him as their new starting center.

Jackson is coming off a torn Achilles that he suffered in early November, which saw the 23-year-old’s season end way too soon.

Indiana has been the only team Jackson has been apart of for his four-year NBA journey. This contract will take him through 2027-28.

According to Marc Stein, the Golden State Warriors have been strongly interested in bringing back De’Anthony Melton for the next season. Last offseason saw Golden State sign Melton to a one-year, $12.4 million deal.

Fans only got to experience six games of Melton’s talents due to him suffering a partially torn left ACL. That injury left him done for the remainder of the season. For the Warriors, they would love to bring him back to give him another shot on the team.

Golden State has been linked to signing players like Al Horford, Bradley Beal, and now potentially the 27-year-old.
