Stephen Curry Beats Sabrina Ionescu In 3-Point Contest
Last night was a fun time across all of the events happening, but one of the best was the Curry-Sabrina showdown. Both players balled out, as Sabrina Ionescu proved to the doubters that she could shoot from the NBA line and give top stars a run for their money.
The 26-year-old guard went first and turned up the heat by shooting almost lights out, and she got 26 points. Not only was online hyped for her, but the arena was ready to explode with her going lights out.
However, unfortunately for her, Sabrina was in the presence of arguably the greatest shooter in league history. With that said, Curry did win 29-26 in the end. The final two racks where he went insane allowed him to pull away and beat the talented WNBA player.
Even though she couldn’t beat Curry, she tied or beat the other men in a separate three-point contest. To say the least, it was impressive and an excellent opportunity to break down the barriers people were holding against her.
For Wardell Curry, he continues to prove that he is that dude. He’s got nothing left to prove, as he’s done everything accolades-wise and team-wise. Seeing this battle and the money go to their respective charities was great.
Both players said they want to see this shootout incorporated into the upcoming All-Star weekends for years to come.
