According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, confirmed by the Orlando Magic, Franz Wagner, who exited Game 4 with the injury, has been diagnosed officially with a right calf strain. This has been confirmed by an MRI.
Depending on how he responds to treatment, that will heavily influence Orlando’s decision making regarding the 24-year-old’s availability for Wednesday’s Game 5.
In 34 games this season, Wagner has averaged 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 30 minutes. A left high ankle sprain caused him to miss a great portion of games.
Right now, the eight-seeded Orlando is winning the series 3-1 against the one-seeded Detroit Pistons.
