Three Teams Considered Favorites To Land Pascal Siakam

If the Toronto Raptors get a deal done before the trade deadline, expect it to be with the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, or Indiana Pacers. Those are the three teams who are currently leading this race.

Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports states these three teams are most likely to land Pascal Siakam. It’s been confirmed the Atlanta Hawks have dropped out of the race as they are looking at other ways to reset their roster.

While the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers were named potential landers, they need more essential assets for Toronto to take them seriously.

Like the OG Anunoby trade with the New York Knicks, Toronto is looking for young, developed players rather than future draft capital. They don’t want to go into rebuild mode; however, they make a few moves where they change and grow into being a playoff contender.

Warriors Never Offered Brandin Podziemski For Lauri Markkanen

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the Golden State Warriors never offered Brandin Podziemski in any deal for Lauri Markkanen.

This appeared to be a deal breaker, as the Utah Jazz preferred Podziemski over Jonathan Kuminga. Golden State was reportedly more willing to move Kuminga than Podziemski.

For Utah, they needed multiple first-rounders and a player they actually wanted. Plus, with both sides getting a deal done in August, Markkanen is ineligible to be traded this season.

Kyle Kuzma (Groin) Out Against Hawks

According to the Washington Wizards, Kyle Kuzma has suffered a groin strain and will be sidelined for Wednesday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Kuzma, who has taken a larger role due to the Malcolm Brogdon injury, got injured during Monday’s game against the Hawks.

Washington has yet to release a timeline for the 29-year-old, but there is an expectation of him missing more time.

According to the Toronto Raptors, Scottie Barnes face injury took a turn for the worst, as he will be out for at least the next three weeks.

The 23-year-old has been medically diagnosed with a fractured orbital bone, which was suffered during Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Nikola Jokic accidentally elbowed Barnes in face, where Barnes needed help by the medical staff and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
