During the Chicago Bulls media day, Vice President Arturas Karnisovas gave fans a major update on Lonzo Ball’s health.
The team is hoping for the 26-year-old to be available by opening night to play against the New Orleans Pelicans; according to Lonzo, it’s like he was given a brand-new knee.
Karnisovas will allow the coaching staff to slowly introduce him to training camp to see how his knee holds up. While he has done 5-on-5 scrimmages in the past, Chicago is expected to hold off out of caution for his safety.
This is the biggest news fans have received in a long time, as the season is less than a month away. Ball last played for his team on January 14th, 2022. It was a very different scene in the NBA.
