According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Indiana Pacers may be without Tyrese Haliburton for Game 6 of the NBA Finals; the rising superstar is set to undergo an MRI on his right calf to determine the severity of the injury.
The 25-year-old suffered the calf strain during the first half of Game 5’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Haliburton was visibly in pain and limited in his movements during his 34 minutes of play.
During the game, Haliburton did not record a single field goal. He was seen as a non-factor during Jalen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s explosive game.
Despite saying he would play in Game 6 as long as he is able to walk, Haliburton’s status is in serious doubt. If he cannot play, then Indiana will be without their main player in the elimination game.
The Pacers are down 3-2 in the series. Game 6 is in Indiana, which is a slight edge for the underdogs.
