According to multiple reports, in a bombshell Saturday afternoon signing, the Phoenix Suns have signed Tyus Jones to a one-year deal worth $3.3 million. This has solidified who their starting point guard will be.
Many speculated on if Monte Morris would be leading the group or running it back with either Bradley Beal or Devin Booker. However, general manager James Jones and owner Mat Ishbia has landed a solid piece to run the floor.
Per Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, Jones chose Phoenix over the Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks. Two teams where he could have gotten more money from. It should be noted that with Jones signing, Grayson Allen will be moved to the bench and Booker most likely playing small forward.
Unofficial starting lineups have come out featuring Jones (PG), Beal (SG), Booker (SF), Kevin Durant (PF), and Jusuf Nukic (C). It is unknown if head coach Mike Budenholzer will have it this way, but, for the time being, this is what fans can picture in their brains until official word comes out.
