Victor Wembanyama Declares For Draft

This generational talent, the next unicorn, has been projected to be the number-one pick for the longest time; however, Victor Wembanyama has officially entered his name into the NBA draft.

He officially declared for the 2023 NBA draft on Friday and has submitted paperwork to the league office. Maybe a little bit shocking for him to wait this long, however, the draft is now set with him being the first overall pick – projection-wise.

“Declaring for the draft … it’s something crazy I’m not realizing yet,” Wembanyama told ESPN. “I realized pretty young I wanted to play in the NBA but it becomes a reality more every day. I’m so lucky to have this dream within the reach of my hand.”
