The Warriors made headlines after almost rejecting the trade when the injury report came out that Gary Payton II would need more time to heal his injury, but why almost cancel the trade due to an injury? Golden State believed the Portland Trail Blazers withheld information regarding the health of the player.

Long story short, they accepted the trade before the Sunday deadline. There was a lot of uncertainty about if they were going to accept the trade, which would have affected everyone involved in the trade.

But, in the end, the Hawks get Saddiq Bey, the Warriors get Gary Payton II, the Pistons get James Wiseman, and the Blazers get five second-rounders and Kevin Knox.

After a few days of uncertainty, the deal is finally completed.
