According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, the Washington Wizards have shown legit interest in trading for Jonathan Kuminga. Washington would see him as their Jordan Poole replacement.

Since they don’t have enough cap space to sign him to an offer sheet, Washington will go down the sign-and-trade route.

Kuminga has struggled in Kerr’s system after falling out of rotation and being injured. Many have pointed to his lack of consistency and defensive breakdowns as the main source of why he lost favor with Golden State’s coaching staff.

If Washington decides not to trade for him, then there are a lot of other teams expected to show interest in him.

The Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and Brooklyn Nets are teams that have publicly shown interest in the 22-year-old.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Orlando Magic are signing Moe Wagner to a one-year contract to keep him through next season.

Despite declining his team option, Orlando always had intentions of bringing him back to the team. The official details of the contract is a year worth $5 million.

The 28-year-old averaged 12.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season, the best season of his career, before tearing his ACL right before Christmas.

He’ll be entering his sixth season with the Magic.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Los Angeles Lakers have made the decision to re-sign Jaxson Hayes for another season. The official agreement is a one-year deal.

This comes immediately after signing newly bought out free agent Deandre Ayton to a two-year contract. Los Angeles will have Hayes backup Ayton.

This signing wasn’t making headlines until it was discovered the 25-year-old is getting a no-trade clause. This isn’t parody, as he is literally getting a no-trade clause for this upcoming season.

How is this so? Well, per Trevor Lane, Hayes is able to get a de facto no-trade clause due to signing with the Lakers for his third year, this secures his Bird rights for Los Angeles. With his Bird rights being secured, Hayes now has the power to waive any potential trade he does not want to be apart of.

He will be an exclusive group of LeBron James and Bradley Beal for this upcoming season.

Last season, Hayes averaged 6.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and one assist per game in 56 appearances.
