Jae Crowder Close To Signing Deal With Kings

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Sacramento Kings and free agent Jae Crowder are close to signing an agreement that will see Crowder rep the Kings’ colors for the first time in his career.

There is an expectation that once this deal is reached, Crowder will make his debut as soon as Wednesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sacramento is dealing with multiple injuries; headlined by DeMar DeRozan’s back and Trey Lyles’ calf.

Currently, the Kings are 8-10 in the Western Conference. This lands them 12th in the conference.

According to Fox40’s Sean Cunningham, the Sacramento Kings have decided to offer former Milwaukee Bucks player a work out before their training camp.

Jae Crowder is expected to compete for an open roster spot, as the 34-year-old is one of the top free agents still available on the market.

Last season, he started in 25 games (appearing in 50 total), averaging 6.2 points off 42.2% from the field and 34.9% from deep.

Jae Crowder Cleared To Return For Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks will be returning one of their critical veterans with the news of Jae Crowder returning after missing the past two months due to injury.

More than two months were missed after Crowder had to have left adductor and abdominal tear surgery; he’s only played nine games this season for Milwaukee.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the veteran will return Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bulls have interest in Jae Crowder

The Bucks and Hawks have been pursuing Jae Crowder for months, now Chicago can be added to the mix of teams that has an interest in Crowder.

Phoenix is expected to trade Crowder, it has been expected since both teams mutually agreed to find him a trade, before the trade deadline. Remember that the deadline is February 9th.

Both the Suns and Bulls have had talks surrounding Coby White for Jae Crowder, both are on expiring contracts. White is eligible to become a restricted free agent, while Crowder is an unrestricted free agent come this summer.

John Collins is reportedly not an interest for the Suns, however, a player like White could definitely be on the wanted list for the Suns.
