Anthony Davis to miss time after suffering foot injury

The Lakers are currently 12-16, 12th in the Western Conference, and are having a very disappointing season. While having some high moments, this season (and it has just begun) has been simply awful and the bad news continue to pile up for this Los Angeles franchise.

It is being reported that Anthony Davis, who has been putting up MVP numbers, will miss time after suffering this new injury. Speculation has the timeline of at least a month before we see Davis return to the court, which certainly does not help this team.

He’s averaged 27.4 points and a career-best 12.1 rebounds per game. This is by far the best season of his ten-year career.

Los Angeles is 1.5 games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves for 10th place and the final spot in the Play-In Tournament.

According to Marc Stein, the Dallas Mavericks have the real possibility of getting back Anthony Davis in the near future.

The likeliest of a return is increasing, as it could be seen during or after Dallas’ four game road trip.

Davis has been out since February 8th, which saw him get injured during his debut game with the Mavericks. He has only played 31 total minutes with the team.

The 32-year-old has only played in 43 games this season.

Sunday night, reports came out that Davis was set to miss up to a month. Now, Stein, along with others, are spearheading reports that the 31-year-old might need surgery.

Overall, the team and Davis will focus their discussions on treatment without surgery. The surgery option will be discussed and decided upon by Monday.
