Multiple teams offered *THREE* first-rounders for OG Anunoby

The Warriors were interested in OG Anunoby, yes, but other teams were ready to go all-in on Anunoby.

Toronto turned out to be buyers, not sellers, as they wanted to add a big piece (Jakob Poeltl) and keep the core together to make a solid run at the postseason. So many teams, along with their respected fanbases, were disappointed that they couldn’t get a deal done with the Raptors.

Bobby Marks said that half the league put in offers for OG Anunoby, but multiple team’s offers came public. Those offers being from the Grizzlies and the Pacers. Both teams were willing to part ways with three first-rounders in order to get Anunoby.

Here is what Zach Lowe said regarding the Grizzlies and Pacers:

“For instance, I’ve heard Memphis offered three first round picks for Anunoby,” said Lowe on his podcast. “But Toronto made it clear to these teams like ‘we want a player too.’ I don’t think that sort of player was on the table at least from their view at least in Memphis.

“Indiana, I heard offered three first round picks and the Rockets’ second round pick, which I believe they own in this upcoming draft. Which is almost like another first round pick.

“But again, the player chip wasn’t there for Toronto and they moved to fight another day.”

Jordan Poole (Quad Strain) Out At Least A Week

According to the New Orleans Pelicans, Jordan Poole has suffered a quad strain and will be out for at least 7-10 days. He will be re-evaluated after that period to see if the mild injury goes down.

In his first season with his new team, he’s averaging 17.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

Zion Williamson’s Trade Value At An All-Time Low

According to multiple reports, spearheaded by ESPN, while the New Orleans Pelicans have found some success ever since starting 0-6 on the season, chatter has risen if this is due to Zion Williamson being out or not.

Williamson and the Pelicans have had a very shaky, up-and-down relationship since he was drafted by them. There has always been rumors of New Orleans wanting to trade him away and start fresh. Mainly to get a more reliable, correctly-aligned (mindset wise) player.

With the 25-year-old currently out due to rehabbing from a hamstring strain, the Pelicans have been having internal conversations about moving on from the franchise superstar.

However, it may be more wishful thinking due to not many franchises wanting the injury-prone forward. His current trade value is not very high, in fact, it’s at incredible lows. This even comes with mostly non-guaranteed salary for the next two seasons.

“To be honest, their move might be a win-now trade, not a Zion trade,” a rival executive said. “His trade value isn’t there and they are facing some pressure to win.”

It’s unclear what the Pelicans are asking in return for Williamson, but his name is definitely a name to keep an eye on.
